Hey guys, this is kind of a pimp but I figured it would better fit in the technical talk here.
I just made this tutorial because:
a. I had a hell of a time figuring this stuff out for myself.
b. I figured I could save some noobs like myself the trouble.
c. Making the tutorial will hammer the process in my brain so I don't forget and give me a reference.
d. Can you tell I just finished writing a tutorial by the way I am listing things here? ha ha.
Here is a direct link to the tutorial:

Simply put, the tutorial guides the user through the process of rendering displacement maps in max using the "Displace" Modifier. It also covers baking Displacement in Mudbox2009 as well.
BTW: There are other tutorials that I made on my website in case anyone is interested.
Finally, I am not sure how the search engine works here at polycount, but; I figured I would just type a few key words so people can find this tutorial once it gets barried in the archives.

If anyone wants to comment or critique it that would be cool too. I'm sure its not perfect by any means.
