The new layout helps with this, but I still have issues. My usual monitor for browsing is my 1440x900 display that is turned to portrait (ie. 90 degrees from normal 'widescreens'). This means that the whole forum is about 124px too wide for my screen and I end up needing to scroll back and forth quite a bit. I can adblock the header image, and then things scale correctly and fit in the screen nicely, but as soon as someone posts an image (which, lets be honest, is nearly every thread) it resizes it down to fit the 1024px width that seems to have been designed.
I realize this is by-design, and most people don't design for a resolution smaller than 1024x768 anymore, but would it be possible to get a 'max width' parameter in the control panel options?
Pretty please?

Thanks for bringing this up, its great to get this kind of feedback. However, I would expect a solution just yet as the current available themes are still only temporary. The Polycount.BLACK theme was just something Adam knocked up to closely resemble the new site because he had some free time on his hands.
We will put this under advisement for the proper theme when it rolls out.
And the thread Dekard is probably talking about is this one. If you have any suggestions, feel free to post them in there. Should maybe make it a sticky because it took me a while to actually find it :P

That's polycount.BLACK. The BLACK-wide version goes off a lot more (for me anyway).
Maybe this will help.
