Rent.com, rent.net, firstexclusive.com. Good luck and welcome to rainy Washington, once you're here we gotta set up another PC meet!

I lived/grew up in Issaquah, WA for over 24 years, before moving to Boston.
My parents still live there...issaquah is the bomb!
PM me I'll give you the low down.
There really aren't any ghettos in Issaquah:P

forrent.com is a pretty good site for apartments but so are half a dozen others. I'd suggest finding a good apt, first, until you get the lay of the land, live out of boxes and after 3-6mo you'll have a good idea of where to put down more permanent roots.

It's always easier to find a place if you're actually there. And the chances of you moving here and finding a better place once your here are pretty high.

Also don't forget about GoogleMaps street view feature, you can cruise around town and check out the neighborhood around places you're thinking about renting.

I don't think there is much to look at in "down town" Issaquah, (is there such a thing?) but you're not too far from Bellevue and depending on the bridge traffic, not too far from Seattle. Living and working in Issaquah, thats going to be nice, traffic around here can be a bit of a nightmare trying to drive thru Bellevue or Seattle.

Too true. As someone who routinely commutes between Normandy Park (where fiance lives) and Bellevue, I can say that traffic can completely and utterly suck with the bridges.

Seforin, welcome to Seattle! It's a great place to live and work!

I had a coworker who lived in Issaquah and said he never really had much bad traffic between Kirkland and Issaquah...I'd almost recommend finding a place in Bellevue near the I90/I405 intersection because thats a good launching point to Issaquah, to the major areas on the eastside and Seattle.

Last I checked, about 3 years ago, $350-450k was what a new condo/townhouse in the downtown area cost.
    Prices are most likely falling.

Not sure if this searches for rentals but there were some condos for sale in downtown Bellevue.
