Animator req'd: UT3 Horror mod Devil Behind Canvas

We have a bunch of great 3-d models but are in need of someone to animate them! We will still accept applications for a programmer/someone to help with unrealscript.

One of our pages is at Moddb.com

"When Alice Meets Silent Hill" -- Devil behind the Canvas is an ambitious action adventure game. The project was started in late 2006 by Yuan Cui, who is the original story creator as well as art director. In the game you play as Amy, a traumatized girl whose mother was killed. Amy's father is a dark artist. Amy needs to travel between the worlds of her father's paintings in order to survive and find out the truth behind her mother's death. The project features an atmospheric theme and a unique "traumatized" gameplay, also a special "Canvas" system allows you see a real-time paranormal world.

I am not applying here, but just wanted to throw in that the whole anime look of the little girl throws me off and ruins what is otherwise a realistic environment. :shifty:

That is a good point. Are you saying it ruins the immersion for you because it looks out of place? I for one agreed with you at the beginning and suggested it be more life-like, but now that I know a bit more about the story it is actually very appropriate. It makes me laugh because it is very fitting but due to maybe accident rather than design.

Well it just clashes with the otherwise true-to-life environments and models (the woman with the red dress and the sculpts on moddb) - and quite frankly I'm not a big fan of anime styled art. I already find it hard to... "link" or care (if that happens at all) with/about most in-game protagonists, I don't think the stylized look would help me in that regard. :poly122:
But then again I don't know that much about the (back)story and further implementations.
