You understand when I say studio, I mean an outsourcing 3D game art studio.
A: They are spamming you a industrial artist, with spam meant for management. Simply because they send it to any address or website that has some 3d in it. With a economic proposal that could make you, or your entry level artists loose their jobs or have that much harder a time to find a in.
B: Spam em back asking for work. Will they ever hire you? Of course not! Your too expensive compared to the cheap labor they can get locally.
C: It will confuse them (especially with their grammar skills). It also might make them think that you have lost your job over their practices. Or that the US economy is in a worse position than they think. Heck, you could even write a small cover letter saying something about being layed off from last position and needing work.
In other words its a underhanded middle finger right back at em.
But like I said, if I have to explain the joke.. Darn!
I have a friend who fills the return envelopes from credit card offers with paper clippings, shredded card board, and other misc. crap, and then mails them back. Your proposal reminds me of him and I'm not sure that's a good thing.
They only post in the job section and dont participate in the forum. There are posts like this in all the forums. Very disheartening for newbies trying to break in and not have to work for slave wages.
If it makes any difference, I really didn't think this would be soo umm.. a angsty subject? Actually to be honest, I can't figure it out why (PM if you want to explain).
Codeman, Im not talking about here (hell I didn't even know they did it here till you just told me). I'm talking to when they send it to your personal emails and website accounts. Without even checking if you are a fellow artist or a manager. Just spamming you. Yes, though I agree, their spam can be disheartening for the entry levels.
Umm, remember you put a lot of personal details in your CV, so you just end up earning then spammer money because they got stuff to sell to other spammers.
