Hi there everyone, I'm new to this site, and my teacher told us this is a great place to get advice. So, this is a project I'm working on, and I wanted to get some advice, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank you!
I'm sorry, I forgot to post my wife frame, and talk about the item. It's a prop for a class, and the weapon is from Talim from Soul Calibur. I struggled with the thickness, because in all the references it seemed thick. I wanted some advice on the texture, and the model itself. How can it look more like metal, and anything else that will make this better.

As for suggestions, it would be good to know the context of this sword: Is it for a character? Is it in this style for a purpose? Etc.
As well, generally wire frame shots will help get some proper critiques.
as adam said, wireframe shots are a great place to start. from the viewport is fine.
Like adamBrome said, I don't know what kind of critique you are looking for. What's the purpose of this project?
