Vigil Games(Austin): Senior UI Artist
SENIOR UI ARTIST
Vigil Games is seeking an experienced Senior User Interface Artist to create interesting and functional user interface art for our product. We are looking for someone that has great Flash based skills that can follow a concept with an artist's eye. We'd like to see that you have a flair for different UI styles.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience and passion for designing user interfaces Experience with Action Script and Web Development Expertise in After Effects or Flash Experience with Photoshop (3D Studio Max, a plus) Must be able to work within style established by Art Director Ability to conceptualize, present and execute ideas within a schedule Extensive experience playing online games Excellent communication and team skills, including interaction with other teams Experience with third party UI software a plus Sample of work demonstrating artistic ability and user interface mechanics required Console experience a plus Rounded understanding of graphic design communication and Composition. Versatility in Fantasy, Sci-Fi and contemporary graphic design styles is a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES Conceptualize, mock up create final UI & graphic design assets Be involved in improving usability design Update studio website on a regular basis Contribute to the overall vision of our studio Implement UI into the product.
Additional Guidelines for Reels:
We would like to see work that shows a comfortability with Fantasy HUDs and UI. The GUI we work on will have a much more organic and Fantasy feel over the Corporate straight edged designs.
