We're moving to Amsterdam, and unless we find new tenants, we're being held to our contract (which lasts 9 more months!), so I thought I'd see if any polycounters were looking for a nice one-bedroom flat.
It's a nice area and the flat's in good order.

Usually you can pay a bit extra, like 1-2 months rent to break a lease. Just talk to your landlord about it.

aesir raises a good point about throwing in an extra months rent or potentially losing your bond to cancel out of the lease. It really does come down to the landlord and how nice they are about it. I've had tenants pull out of a lease half way through while I was renting my house, we agreed on a full months rent to cover the time it took to find new tenants.
