So I'm considering getting some of my 3D models made into 3D figurines.
What are some places that make them?
I'd prefer they be a smooth plastic type finish and not a chalky finish if possible.
I know some people here have had their stuff made into 3D figurines.
I figured this might be a good thread to place a bunch of companies as I'm pretty sure this is going to be an industry that will boom in the coming years.
Thanks

When I was QA'ing at EA, one of the character artists on Urbz had the main characters all made up and sitting around his cube.
these guys do awesome work, very high quality prints (from what I've seen, a much higher quality then offload), and the company is run by modelers, so they know their stuff.

while we can do great quality 3D ouptut, Our main focus is multiples in runs of 100 or more pieces. in various materials and sizes.
Any of the companies mentioned by Kolby and others will definitely offer suitable One off figure prints for you. if you need more than one or really detailed paint masters
Definitely ask the places about their finishing as that is one of the most important steps
once the figure is printed. it is always preferable to work with a studio where Modelers and traditional sculptors are handelign your peices
we have seen a few instances where detail just disapears because the finisher does not know any better.

thanks for the link. i been looking for a high quality shop too and offload prints looked a little noisy to me.
agreed.
Last time I talked to the guys at protodemon they'd found a method to essentially double the resolution of their prints, so we're talking very, very fine detail. Anyway, yeah, great company, can't say enough good things about them.

I got 3k starting for offload. Would like to have some general ranges and comparisons.
This was my friend's figurine that was made in china, she had a small production run 100 I think.
The protoype cost around 950 US I believe. The nice thing... all hand sculpted and painted.
This is the email I received from my friend about contacting for a commission:
Chris: cm at hk-gensen.com
hkgensen seems to be a factory where a bunch of anime figures from japan's top companies are made, they take outside commission work
Thank you so much for the info!!!
