when i try rendering out a normal map in xnormal, its giving me this:
i tried all sorts of things to solve it, but nothing worked
if the base mesh has more polygons, then the black spots are smaller, but exist in larger numbers. i've kept everything like i've always done, and 'just in case' i'd even downloaded the latest xnormal. still the same issue
also, everyime i use 3ds max, the 'push' i apply to the cage is automatically removed once i click on 'render' in the render to texture dialogue box.
i can't figure out what's going on
any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you have a file before you exported from Max, use that low poly and your uv's should't be broken anymore.
guruware's OBJ exporter worked wonders!
