So i woke up this morning to this email in my Flickr account.
Hello, JO420!
This is an automatically generated copy of a help case reply:
Greetings from the FlickrHQ!
It’s been a remarkable year for Flickr and the people at Time Magazine have contacted us about featuring photos from the Flickrverse in an upcoming issue. Needless to say, we’re thrilled.
We’re reaching out to you as they would like to publish a photo that you recently shared on Flickr:

Thats awesome, where did you get one published?
gonna get credit from the graffiti artist too?
Zing!
Cool to hear man, do you know what issue?
No, i imagine next decmber or Jan issue, Mop im actually going to try to find the artist to let em know. Hopefully i can but that part of town is swimming in grafitti artists. The stretch of wall where that was painted is half a mile in distance and its like a collage of various artists who constantly paint over it .
I was lucky to get that pic,it was after the election was final at 6am my time that i decided to go walk around since i was too excited to sleep,i had my digi cam with me and snapped it and the next day later is was gone.
FYI i made no money off it.
I would think the original artist would hold the copyright if there were to be any.
not sure about that...my dad is an amateur photographer, and he's submitted stuff and had it published by time, newsweek, and our local papers, and in every instance they require you to give up any and all copyright rights to the image in total. they own it out right, im sure to cover their ass's if you decided that hey, i deserve some $$$ for that photo, they made big bucks on that magazine/paper, im going to sue!
Well i signed nothing away to do this, all i did was give persmission for it to be used. If they somehow owned any right to it id like to know how. Nor did i submit the photo, from what ive read around in flickr they seem to be picking several pictures of Barack Obama artwork.
actually, I know what you mean.
