Hey look, I'm actually participating in something!
For this, I'll be handling the environment and Sayanora will be taking care of our survivor and zombie models
A little backstory:
Our survivor managed to find her way to a logging facility in the middle of the woods. She shacked up in an old barn the loggers were using as a warehouse. She's been there a few weeks now, and aside from the occasional shuffler zombie, things have been generally quiet...until now. A horde of runners have found her, and they're hungry. The old, weathered walls are no match for the zombie onslaught - her makeshift home is beginning to come apart.
This is her last stand.
Ok, so now for the art stuffs.
Our key ref for the survivor is this image from the movie High Tension:

And a little progress on the environment so far. I'm only halfway to the poly limit, so I've got a lot of destruction/decals to go.

A couple minor updates before bed...
a jumpstart on the texturing...
everything still wippage.
Looks great so far, but if I as her I'd be sleeping in those rafters with a removable ladder/ramp.
Very awesome
I'm still cranking away at this thing, but I thought I'd take a moment to show how I'm handling shadows. It may be of some help to other people doing this comp.
Disclaimer: Everything still major wip-sauce!
Using just a few very small textures, you can fake shadows/AO with geometry pretty well. You do pay for it with your tri count, so make sure your spend tris wisely. From the beginning I knew I wanted to use shadow cards and decals like crazy, so it helps when figuring out where you want your budgets to fall.
These three shadow textures:
A round one, a square one, and a noisy one.
And here they are applied to the scene.
slaught, It does resemble your topology, even though I modelled around the chick from the movie we're referencing. If this is an issue, I can totally make another.

I think right now, the scene looks more like a hobo camp than a safe-house. I plan on adding more trash and some guns.. Anyone have any suggestions to help out? Keep in mind, the scene we're going for is the safehouse being attacked and overwhelmed, so big metal bolted doors are kind of out of the question.
It´s fine, don´t worry about it.
Looking good!
