congrats! don't do those tests too often though (more than necessary), they totally mess up your baby. (most test aren't very healthy for the child.)

This test does no harm to the baby (or to anyone in case) as it is the same as a a regular ultrasound. Ultrasound waves are not ionizing radiation (as the X-ray/CAT) so are completly safe.

It's from the Tom Cruise incedent when he wanted to purchase an ultrasound so he could do it whenever he felt like it. The medical community was worried what effects "vanity" ultrasounding could have on a baby and the fact that it would be used by someone untrained in it's operation.
