Just some research.
Any ideas of what this would actually look like on flesh? If you have links put the links, not the pictures, no need to make people ill.

Unless they hold a breath in, then the air in your lungs would expand rapidly. You would probably just appear to be coughing blood in one heavy heave. The weakest part o the respiratory system would be your muscles holding the throat closed, air would escape there faster.
If you watch Event Horizon, there is a scene that shows this in detail fairly accurately.
Note that this discussion covers the effect of vacuum exposure only. The decompression event itself can have disastrous effects if the person being decompressed makes the mistake of trying to hold his or her breath. This will result in rupturing of the lungs, with almost certainly fatal results. There is a good reason that it is called "explosive" decompression.
Thats some good insite Handset. I did see Event Horizon and do remember that scene, but he survived so I would have thought the effects would be much greater on a corpse. As in the amount of final swelling, and would like an enlarged tongue stick out of the mouth? Would the eyes sockets be vacant (popped out) alah Total Recall? You think the skin wouldn't split because of the ballooning effect? As I would have thought some splitting would occur with enlarged organs spewing from the seams. I just don't know that the skin alone would split, or would it split all the way to the bone?
I can't see skin splitting, but capillaries close to the surface (such as eyes and lungs) I reckon would rupture, but doubt it would cause your eyes to be pushed out of your head.

but I think being exposed to the vacuum of space would be less spectacular
Holy Crap (just read the results on Diver 4)! Yea, I would hope so....
Man what the hell. That would be terrible to witness.
QFT ..and even worse to have to collect and bag up.
