Robomodo - Character Artist/Modeler

Robomodo, Inc is a new independent game company based in Chicago, IL. Founded by industry veterans with over 60 years of combined experience, we are currently looking for passionate, talented individuals to join our team in various roles. CHARACTER ARTIST

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Creating high quality Next-Gen game assets. (XBOX 360, PS3)
· Be enthusiastic and ready to take on new challenges.
· Be willing to learn (and teach) new tools and techniques.
· Take art direction and closely follow art and design concepts.
· Be meticulous and organized in the approach to tasks, adhering to pipeline workflow.
· Take ownership for tasks assigned, be accountable for work, and follow through.
· Be responsible for communicating ideas and problems.

REQUIREMENTS
· 3D Sculpting skills (ZBrush, Mudbox, etc.)
· 3D Modeling & UV layout skills at both low & high resolutions (XSI, MAX, Maya, etc.)
· 2D ability to paint highly detailed Next-Gen texture maps.
· Ability to take direction, accepts feedback, and responds to criticism positively.
· Manage time wisely, take on accountability, and maintain proper pacing to reach deadlines.
· Effective verbal and written communication skills.
· Self motivated with strong work ethic.
· Versatile artistry to reproduce style of concept design (photo-real, fantasy, sci-fi, etc.).
· Strong understanding of human anatomy.
· Must be eligible to work in the USA.

ADDITIONAL KNOWLEDGE
· Concept experience desired.
· Animation Rigging & understanding of Kinesiology a plus.
· Experience modeling vehicles a plus.
· Other disciplines a plus (animation, illustration, graphic arts, editing, compositing, etc.)
· Previous game industry experience a plus.
