I have been working on a contract for the last two weeks that's required a lot of rendered out sprite animations, and this tool is awesome for compiling images into spritesheets:

Highly recommend it, and it's free! It's been a real time-saver vs. doing this stuff in photoshop, plus the real-time preview is nice.
