that said, I have a £40 IKEA chair at home which is perfectly good - mesh back and cushion base, good deal.

You love it long time! Oh wait that's not Vietnamese furniture. But seriously I've never tried them myself so this is not a recommendation.
slum & cojax....i don't think i could use a chair that markus peekna uses. keep'em comin. my arse needs cushion.
I got this chair from Costco and it seemed to treat me (The heavyweights) well. 30 bucks I think
super comfortable. very expensive here. They make office chairs with the same materials, I have one. Pretty much the best chair I've sat in.
I would highly recommend dropping the cash for whatever works best for you. For me, I got a Lifeform midback chair. It was expensive (1300$) and worth every penny, I prefer it to the aeron, it has a forward tilt function that the aeron lacked. And it doesn't seem to be wearing out at all after 4 years of use and abuse. I take this thing from job to job.
You will spend about 25% of your waking hours sitting on your arse. Buy something good.
I also just paid off an electric sit to stand desk from Jesper (also purchased at relax the back) Last desk I will ever have to buy. I also use both hands for mousing, though tend to stay more with my left, and use my right for wacom.
Total setup:
Lifeform Chair Midback
Jesper Sit to Stand Desk
Msoft ergo keyboard 4000
left and right handed evoluent vertical mice
westinghouse lvm37w1
Wacom 6 x 11

Now there's a chair-elitist if ever there was one! I'm curious to hear what kind of a chair he finally decided on, because it must be fucking super-comfy.
Or he just has weird taste in chairs, who knows. Maybe he likes pain!
I had an Aeron at my last office-job, and it was pretty comfy. Well, in an ergonomic kind of way. I wouldn't say it was comfy as much as it was 'not painful to sit in for long amounts of time'. Which is what they're going for, so that's good.
When we were moving office I was half-considering just wheeling mine off around the corner and taking it home, heh. Those things are expensive!
Enjoy. And yeah, Im slightly partial. Its still about what works best for you, might be expensive, might not be. Im about to throw down for an ultimate lifeform, now that teaching is finally paying me a competetive wage:
I was blessed by a generous grandmother, and got a 23 inch Apple HD monitor when they first came out. Served me well, cost $3500. Now its worth maybe 300$, collectability aside. My chair hasn't aged a bit.
dabu, you need to obsess less about overly expensive chairs and extravagant setups and get your website back up :P
Gah! My eyes! I hope it's comfortable.

It's comfy but i'm using it with low table.

(The DXRacer sorta fell apart on me). For big dudes, the XL is great.
This is how you chair:
^ i want it, idk the name though, stance angle i think.
For now I just have to make do with this:
Steelcase Leap
Always sat on Aerons at work, but I hate that the seat pan and back rest are edged with hard plastic. I got one of these for my home office and love it. I'd recommend finding an office supply store so you can butt test everything, especially if you're going to drop some cash. Also, make sure you know how to adjust everything properly, it makes a big difference.
I have this too
Comfy and warm
Arms are memory foam too
You sit in chairs not stare at them though?
