Tansfer maps will not work for me

Hey guys, i've been trying to bake my normals from a highpoly to a low using transfer maps, with no luck whatsoever, all i i get is a purple texture (all purple)

here's how i have my meshes :

here are my transfer maps settings :

this is driving me nuts @_@, can anyone please help ?

    Could be a bunch of things.
    1) Make sure your face normals are facing the right way (and opposite is set to "off"). If you did an extrusion to make the cyclinder, they could be backwards
    2) If everything looks kosher, maybe try baking the transfer in world space

    You may have already tried those things but just making sure. You're not working in some wacky scale are you? I've had transfer issues before when I had to work in a non-standard scale.

    normals are fine, still no luck :| thanks for the suggestion
    what passes for whacky in terms of scales ? :)

    try search inside envelope only and max search depth 100 %

    also transfer in World Space

    you may have to cap your mesh as well, i heard that helps

    brilliant, world space worked, are there any problems if the nmmap is in world space if it was used in a game engine ?
