Hey guys, i've been trying to bake my normals from a highpoly to a low using transfer maps, with no luck whatsoever, all i i get is a purple texture (all purple)
here's how i have my meshes :

this is driving me nuts

Replies
1) Make sure your face normals are facing the right way (and opposite is set to "off"). If you did an extrusion to make the cyclinder, they could be backwards
2) If everything looks kosher, maybe try baking the transfer in world space
You may have already tried those things but just making sure. You're not working in some wacky scale are you? I've had transfer issues before when I had to work in a non-standard scale.
what passes for whacky in terms of scales ?
also transfer in World Space
you may have to cap your mesh as well, i heard that helps
