Max Problem
Hi, I'm having a huge problem with Max.
I opened the Materials Editor and clicked on the button marked 'Standard'. At this point the Materials/Maps Browser should have opened but instead Max somehow became locked, everywhere I clicked I got a pinging sound and I could not interact with anything. The Materials/Maps Browser did not appear. The padlock at the bottom of the screen was not highlighted but when I hit the space bar Max unlocked. I tried hitting 'Standard' again but the same thing happened.
I tried opening a new scene but had the same results. I uninstalled, and reinstalled, Max but still the same. I have reinstalled again, several times, and have even deleted registry keys relating to Max before doing so. No good. In every other respect Max seems to be working fine.
I am using 64 Bit 3ds Max on 64 Bit Windows Vista Ultimate.

Most likely the menu is off the screen.
Go into the Material Editor and click Standard again. Then press Alt -> Down Arrow -> Down Arrow -> Enter -> then press any arrow key with the mouse in the middle of the screen.
