well googling didn't help me much and my camera held up to the tv isn't turning out the nicest results. Anyone know if there's a way to take screenshots on a ps3?

Just finished mirror's edge btw and it looks fuggin awsome, especially all the unlockable art. Hoping to take some screen grabs and stick them in my insp. folder for later inspiration ^_^

The only way I know is to record a video using a HDD recorder(they seem to be pretty expensive ) and taking screenshots from that video.

I hear they are working on the ability to hook up your usb keyboard and hitting print screen via one of the updates, some of the games already have the ability to take a screenshot.

the newest firmware apparently gives you this option.....or so I'm led to believe, (i have no ps3... too broke)

awsome, cheers for the replies guys. I had heard about somthing with a new update doing somthing like screen grabs, haven't found it yet :P

And hdd video might be a bit to far out of my price range tho i think a friend has managed somthing like that before, might have to try it over at his place.

YES with 2.5 update it added the funtionality to take screenshots in game... unfortunatly old games have to be patched to take use of this feature
kind of a bummer.

Aparently it's a great product to record vids. A site recommended either the platinum or wireless. Seems pretty reasonable at $150, In which a TV tuner card would still run you around $100
