Thought I'd have some fun and do a low poly of my favorite game character of all time MEGAMAN 2! (US box art edition). I was hooked on Final Fantasy 4 for the DS when I first started it, thus his proportions are sort of a weird anime-style.
Right now I am having trouble with finishing up the texture. I want it to look the best I can make it. I was reading in Japhir's beast thread about how you should do a bake, do you think I should do that? Never done it before. How can I make his visor look nice and shiny like on the box? Right now it is just a separate object with the same texture, with the opacity lowered.
After I am happy with the texture I will pose him just like the picture. Any and all comments and crits very much appreciated!

haha im glad to see you went back and worked on this model...blues need alot more reflective surfaces
same for visor even if it is opactiy out still give some higher values of white to create a sheen effect via painting the alpha layers and the diffuse more.
also give him more of that rugged early 80's video game cover look man
The Mega Man looks great and very fun.
I agree with Seforin, he should totally look more 80's cheesy alpha male. I'm just not a big fan of anime faces.
Can't wait to see how he turns out!
I would suggest you to not use black when shading the face. Use orange, red, brown etc.
I think you should make the visor un-mirrored and then paint in a nice specular on it.
You can also add a cast shadow to his face from the visor.
hahahahaha!
im loving that crit!
thats one of my fav box arts!
you make one from Mega Man 9 now? XD
Your going more for that early 80's look and you can see more what I mean by shine/highlight points in your diffuse with this image
Dont Forget the tiara!
This one wasn´t any better.
Still, this is the worst.
