I was recently let go from my current job and am in need of work. If anyone can help me out, I'd appreciate it. I am willing to relocate anywhere within the US. I'm brushing off my resume and I hope to update my website as soon as I can.
Thanks guys

Note to our members: These kinds of posts don't normally belong in General Discussion. Cory's a long time member of Polycount (perhaps been here longer than me?) so we don't mind him bending the rules a bit.
If you're in the same boat as Cory, I suggest you head to the Paid Jobs section and see what companies are after and get your resumes out there.
Earthquake - Holy shit man. Paid Jobs is nothing but moderated porn threads + BioWare's job posting to me for the first page. That shit is off the hook, thanks for handling it. i know you're totally book marking every thread you moderate too, sleazy bastard.
Please move this into the correct Forum! Although it's appreciated, I don't want to bend any rules, really. I have the utmost respect for this community and will post where and how I'm supposed to, there shouldn't be any acceptations for me. For whatever reason I thought only companies posted job openings in the Paid Jobs section. My bad guys!
I thought that too, it even says so under the forum title. Reading all the captions under each "work opportunities" forum, none of them actually fit people who are looking for full time jobs unless everyone without a job is classified as a freelance artist.
Best of luck, Cor.
Maybe we should have a separate job board for "Artists looking for work" or something? That way they don't get lost amongst the throngs of company postings.

Yeah i check in every day or two to find 45 new porn ads, great times. The new version of the boards with the delete as spam stuff is INSANELY useful there.
CORY did you get fired for being to much of a bad ass? Did you choke someone or something?
Freelance may be a roll to get the motivation back, I'm quite surprised they let you go btw.
I'll keep an eye out.
I wish you the best!
good luck anyway!
