Anyone else still playing WoW? The latest expansion goes live at Midnight tonight, and I plan on picking up a copy at lunch tomorrow.

Who else is helping to fund our blizzard polycounter's Christmas bonus.

I stopped playing WoW a while back mid Season4 and tried my hand at WAR... I just can't seem to stoke my interest anymore. WAR aside Wotlk strikes me as more of the same and i know i'd get bored of it in 3 weeks. Not to say it wouldnt be a shit load of fun as TBC was when that came out. I just cant see it as something id want to invest a decent amount of time in anymore, i have a good idea of what crack theyd drip feed and its because I know how itll pan out i know ill get bored.

Its a shame in a way, it almost marks the end of an era of 3 years of gaming for me (on and off).

I feel the exact same way. It ends up being fun for a few weeks but then ends up feeling like a job or chore to log in just to level and then thinking about all the time you wasted and could have been doing something productive for my art or portfolio just kills me. I wasn't going to buy it, but my wife has other plans and is anxiously awaiting her copy. So I guess that means I will have to pick up a copy eventually too, but I must finish my freelance stuff first.

The wife and I turned in our 60day gift cards and ended up playing about 4hrs in that time. Just not as interesting as it once was... I thought it was a great game and I don't regret playing it at all but I don't think I can get back into it.

The cool thing is they never delete your characters.

oh yes me and my brother will buy it in some hours ^^ the last 1-2 month i dont realy play wow. loses its fun. i will see if its get more interesting. i hope i dont spent not to much time in that game again hehe

Got my CE coming in tomorrow morning. Pretty stoked Although, my server is a day 1 server...so it will most likely be lagged to all hell/crashing nonstop for about a week before it's playable. I'm glad they've said that T6 will take you to about lvl 75. I wasn't looking forward to replacing my hard earned epics with crappy looking quest rewards. Anyone else on Sargeras, alliance side?

haha When i very first played the game, i lvled up a 60 warrior on that server. Then i transfered him off and have since stoped playing him. I roll shm and rogue now =P Which btw is going to be a pain in the ass to lvl 2 toons up 10 more lvls each =(

My girlfriend is doing a modeling promotion for WOTLK tonight. It is in Austin at the Gamestop on Research Blvd. They are going to have people dressed up in WoW costumes and shit giving stuff out. If you live in Austin you should head over there

Go early though or bring a friend. They said they are expecting around 1300 people.

haha i picked up my copy of Burning Crusade from a gamestop at plano... preordered like 2 hours before release, then waited in line for awhile in the freezing texas cold (probably just below 60) and had this annoying chick behind me talking about how the z-board is like the coolest thing, she obviously has never owned one of those overpriced things... anyways ... this year... ordered from amazon, release day delivery for 5 bux... = w1n.

The promotion my GF was working at in Austin ended up being one of three big ones across the country. They had several Blizzard devs and apparently some Activision management there to sign WOTLK copies. I got her to grab me a few signed posters and a bunch of gear. I got WoW keychains, goblets, koozies, etc. I also got a few hundred posters. If anyone wants one, let me know.

picked up my copy today, couldnt be assed to go out last night and pick it up... was exhausted from flying all day CE is coming today too, so i can get my two accounts up and running (dualbox a mage & balance druid for pvp and fun).

My guild beat the game, and a lot of them are pushing for high-ranked pve content this time-round, we ended up in the 170th in the US and top 500 in the world

My copy finally arrived yesterday about 10-15 minutes after i went to bed. ¬_¬

Played through the Death Knight starting area twice (one Blood and one Unholy spec) since it's maintenance day and i would have much time for a lot of questing in Northrend. I kind of wish all the classes had their own starting area like that.

yeah it was pretty funny how all of the endgame is already cleared, seems like they made things way too easy, i had crap gear on my warrior yet i was easily soloing group quest elites... hmmm

Anthene had a group with 4 other people. they would enter an instance, Anthene would ungroup, tag all the mobs and let the other people kill them before being reinvited before he was autohearthed out of the instance.
