Apple Squirrel WIP

Howdy, finally posting in here.

This is my first time creating a low poly character in probably over a year now. This little guy I came up with while doing concept work for a 2D game I am working on in school for a group project. Never got into the game, so I thought I'd bring him into 3D.

Crits please, as I am looking to do more of these guys probably every 2 weeks. Main probably I am having right now is his mouth looking weird.

He is a Caramel Apple Squirrel.

    Trying to read 3d detail from a concept that is depthless is very hard to do well, flesh out that concept more! Suggest getting a photo of an apple and a squirrel and pshopping them together till you have something that could be used as a guideline to create your final concept before the modelling takes place. Using some colour would help too then when it comes to uv'ing and laying out textures you already have an idea where to go.
