Okay, for starters, the bunching on the guy's / knight's clothes look wrong. It's admirable that you're attempting to put more texture and variation into the clothes. That's all well and good, and I don't want to dissuade you from such practices. But you need to re-think how you're going about it.

Creases and folds in clothing occur most commonly around areas of the clothing where it is likely to bend. Right now you've got the majority of your creases around the middle of his various parts, away from his major joints. You should have creases at the back of his legs, behind his knees, but the front of the knees ought to be smooth. You have creases around his biceps, but you shouldn't see them there. They should be around his armpit and the front of his arm right in front of the elbow. For folds in clothing you have to think about what type of material it is, and how it would react to the kind of build you're draping it over.

The robot is a bit chunky, but serviceable. It's hard to go wrong with robots. I'd have to know what you intend to use it for before I could make any more objective suggestions. Subjectively I would consider re-working his torso. Redoing the shape of his torso would help to liven it up a bit, add a touch more variety. Maybe widening the chest while making the waist thinner, give a little bit of a Mega Man boss vibe.

hey, thanks for the words of advice, ill try and straighten this guy out.
but it is my first attempt, so you can see why i went wrong :P

    half inexperience, half laziness.

Awesome stuff. I have to agree with Richard a bit on the wrinkles. They're tricky to get to look natural. One good way to model them is to project an image of pants onto your model, then model the wrinkles in your geometry based on that image. Using a reference image works too, but I find it's hard to figure out how the wrinkles conform to your model if you do it like this.

I like the look of that armor (especially the armlets). Throw some textures on there, and this guy'll look wicked.

I think what you have is a good start one thing is you need to go out and collect a bunch of refrence for his clothing it seems a little out of place.

For your Robot I think its coming along nicly just gotta spice him up a bit. You can tell its a robot but he just looks a little plain you might want wo add some gears nuts bolts either as extra peices or in the texture as a normal map
