My posts need to be validated? Whaaa? READ.

Hey gang,

I noticed a small burp in our efforts to cull the spam. It would appear as though some of you that have been here for a LONG time are getting asked to have your posts validated before they show up. This is happening because you haven't been transferred to the proper member group yet. If this happens to you, please either send me an email or leave me a PM and let me know so I can fix your account.

Sorry about all the weirdness. Spam folk fight nasty.

On top of that, if we notice our regular users been pushed in to the moderation queue will manually move you out of that and in to the proper User group.

nah the pr0n wasn't that good and they didn't show any wires or texture sheets. Awesome jobs guys, beers all around.

I also had some problems locating my sketchbook in that forum. I checked all pages, line by line, and it was nowhere to be found. In the end I had to google my profile (Is there a way to check all of your posted threads when logged in? I wasn't even in the member list!) and go through my created threads to find it, and now that I posted in it it's back in there.

adam, I think Pea meant he couldn't find the thread in the list, but once he found it through other means and posted it showed up again on the list.

Pea, you're sure that's not because you've got your settings set to cull threads older than certain threshold, and that by posting in it now you've bumped it up above said threshold?

Yes this is possible. View your public profile and then under the Statistics tab, there are two options available in the Total Posts field. Viewing all the posts you've made or viewing all the threads you've started. It basically brings up links within the same page. I use this feature quite frequently, I hope it helps.

I don't think it's got anything to do with my settings, they're just standard. Plus, there are only 6 pages of threads in the sketchbook-forum, and I can see much more than that in Pimping & Previews.

East was right though, Adam. Like I said, I found it through google, and posted in it.

hey milla, no idea. We're certainly only Deleting porn threads. I'll check it out.

BTW I've had similar trouble with a forum I run for a buddy, and I've had great success with moderating membership, rather than posts. That might be something worth considering for here.
