Petsmart ruined my dog!

So I figured I would post a vent and follow it up with a funny picture. I had some family come into town so I decided to get my dog groomed, and save a few bucks doing it since the economy is in the shitter.

I have a soft coated wheaten terrier and for those that do not know about the breed they do not shed. So I have to take extra time to make sure his coat is brushed and matte free (which I do). Well we go to pick him up and they butchered his hair the poor dog

He looks like that angry shaved cat!

Did they fuck up and shave him to save face? Or was this their idea of groomed?

I have no idea.. The breed has a specific cut which I am not a fan of so i normally just keep him longer and teddy bearish.
Normal wheaten breed cut:

Does not look like too hard of a cut to fuck up even if they where going for that!

Hahahaha. I swear they must have just screwed up and accidentally cut off a chunk, so they shave his whole body to make it look even. That is too funny

I keep him mostly inside and he goes outside as needed, and he has a pool to cool off in. I am assuming that is why they shaved him like that

However the breed stays cooler with the longer hair insulation and can sunburn very easy.

We have a Bischon and they give her that kind of cut quite often, due mainly to matting fur. She's like your breed, where they don't shed.... but damn the fur mattes easily. My wife usually keeps her well brushed, but for some reason the groomers always cut her short like that.... although they usually don't get her ears like that too

yeah mattes happen very easy that is why we tried to stay on top of him this time to only get shaved again. The more expensive groomer nows the breed well and will work out the mattes if not sever, I guess this is what I get for saving a couple extra bucks!

hahahah ahhaha that's soo sad, poor pooch. So did the manager give you a gift card or something for ruining your dog.

it's pretty funny. I hope the dog doesn't get depressed or you might have to take him to a pet therapist.

oh my, heh looks like the haircut they groomers give our dog, and she's a cockapoo, or so they are called, (cockerspaniel poodle mix-bread). They don't really shed either, so their idea of "groom" is shave everything off, leave a weird poof ball on the top of their head and a little moostache.

they actually get paid to do this stuff is the sad thing =[

that looks like a regular terrier grooming, if you want a specific cut you'll need to take in a picture of what you want. We had that same cut from petsmart for our terrier mix so we ended up keeping a picture there at petsmart for them to look it up.

If he has long hair and goes in a pool, he was probably pretty matted. My Old English Sheepdog (the best breed of dog) has a short cut right now because she has spent the summer swimming in the pool (she has an adorable life jacket).

Thats the thing he really does not swim we have a "tanning" area which is about 4-6" deep that he splashes around in.... I usually am pretty good about getting out mattes. I think they just assumed we wanted him shaved like dekard said
