I just saw the news today and heard about the whole wamu deal, just after bushes speech about the economy being so bad to..they say that there safe but the bought out did happen. How do you guys feel about this matter? I work as a freelance artists so my small business is through wamu, im wondering if I should pull out or not after all of this?

Just sounds like for us customers it will stay the same, the branches will change their signs to JP Morgan eventually.

but will the policys still stay the same is the question? I heard that another bank might be closing down next few weeks as well (crazy all these banks closing one after another!)

People pulling all their money out of the banks is what causes banks to crash. Just relax if you don't have a TON of money in there. If your bank is sold off you won't notice any difference. If you have a massive amount of money in, you can look at the options because you may get stuck waiting up to 6 months to get all of your money back.

FDIC covers up to 100,000 dollars i don't have any where near that amount in a bank so I'm good.

Yeah my wife's mom was freaking about about us maybe loosing our money because we have WAMU. Just as long as nothing really changes other than the name i don't care.

On the news...."nothing changed only the owner". It happens all the time.

i'm with wamu and i'm switching over because i've had nothing but bad experiences with citibank, same with chase.
