We decided to pick the ruins because a lot of great art is in the details, and we think that the details is what going to create the focus in our environment.The original concept we picked is amazing, and it definitely hit us right away. Its a great start and and inspiration for us to create something we actually been wanting to for a while.
We sat down with Josh, our awesome concept artist that has a chance to help us out with our vision. And we outlined our ideas on how to take these ruins to the next level. A few of us thought it would be awesome to kind of mix a city that once was a giant metropolis somewhere in ex Soviet Union republic, and than something terrible happened. What happened? Well that pretty much at the moment is up to you. The bigger point is what happened to it after it was left by its inhabitants.
I present to you the new concept in progress that shows you what we are thinking of.
As Josh continues work on the main street and the props concept. me and Patrick started creating props and ambient models we can use to decorate our scene.
