i think theres a program taht will take a 3ds file and convert it to a papercraft, spacey's tf2 files are downloadable, delilah is as well and pior sent him on too I guess..
yea the program is called Pepakura. You can take any low poly model that has non innersecting geometry and print a template with it. It basically unwraps the model and does a HORRIBLE job of arranging the pieces on a page. A lot of his templates are in its native format and you have to install the free version before you can print it.
I used his templates to print all of the TF2 models spacey did, but only got as far as putting the soldiers shovel together before I found out that I need to use a heavier stock of paper =/
and yea its really crappy he doesn't mention where the 3d models come from.
Yeah that guy simply assumes it's obvious that he did not create the actual models.
Weird attitude, a bit naive too. However I think he used to credits the models creators in the past?
Well I believe he contacts the author to get a specific model not available online. That's what he did for me. But I think when he can actually find the mesh, he just converts it a build it without much word of warning.
Guillermo did contact me about converting the models to papercraft (even though they were available online). I thought it'd be pretty cool and he did give me credit in one of his posts. It can get a bit ambiguous with the whole "my model" and "my creation" talk. But personally, I don't really have a problem with it. =\
Exactly. I am sure that with time he will realize the time and dedication it takes to create such (3D) models, and eventually labels his stuff as 'conversion' or something.

Looks like he's just basing them off those models. Can't really call it stealing, but maybe you can. hah. Either way, the 3d paper models rock.
Looks like all he's doing is running the model through Pepakura or whatever it's called now (used to be something else, can't remember the old name).
Still, I guess DS-spec models are ideal for papercraft, since they're so low-poly.

I noticed he credited some things, but without giving a link.

There are too many models that have been posted over polycount ^^, and too many are rips from games.
