Unearthly Challenge | Bombshell | Area 23

Hey everyone!

Seems like another great challenge is here:)!So,here is a piece i would like to participate with.Meanwhile it's based on the original concept by the Mikko Kinnunen which doesn't really look like something evil and offensive so far, i think it's definately great enough to become one:).My forefirst perpose right now is to find the best camera position/angle and juxtapose and play around different positions of some new objects,so i can start actuall modeling process.However,before I'll do it i also have some problems i want to share with you.You see,taking look over the threads around here i found that as ussual artist try to use redish and various murky red tinges.There is no doubt that red color is the one of the most efficient way to share the mood of a scene.But...i think it is not the only one.I mean,what do you guys think about such an idea:i want to "place" some kind of an oncoming ice-storm or smth. behind this imensive structure.I think it'll be cool,especially in cunjunction with a shadow of that storm that will cover the whole area.Even though it'll be pretty tough to implement...I think it's worth of trying.And yeah,here are couple early variants of cameras position\angle along with the first variants of a building and env-nt.Sorry for the such a crappy quality,don't think it's so important at this stage:).W8ing for your comments and ideas! Right click the image then 'view image' and copy the url into the insert image box. My guess is your copying the .html address instead?

So,here are some images regarding my entrance,still working with diff. variations of an objects and i've recently started to experiment with lightning. You can also see some rendered views here as well as one from the Maya scene itself.Excuse me for such a poor res. of the images

Despite the poor quality images, I can actually see a lot of potential in this - theres lots of interesting shapes that the lighting can interact with. The last image there would make a really nice composition. It's hard to tell whats going on because it's so dark - don't get me wrong i think it should be dark, but maybe a wireframe could help spectators understand what we're looking at
