That's just an image I knocked up which the rest of the team hasn't seen yet, so expect that to change. We're looking at incorporating a good mix of Mechanical and organic, and still sketching things to achieve that, while sticking to one of the concepts. We initially chose concept 24 (I think), but now we're expanding on that quite drastically by having it be a small indoors part of a large outdoors environment.
The sketch you see here is a spaceship cemetery of sorts, with a broken ship (with the aforementioned concept 24 on the inside) used as a makeshift camp of sorts.
edit: the team consists of Razorbladder, bitmap and me. Although we haven't heard from tito yet, so let's wait and see whether he agree with the direction I'm going in.
One thing I see when I look at the image again is that I should scale down the smaller ship a lot more, to really bring out the impressive scale of the other ships. And also that the layout sort of sucks.

A bit more fleshed out. Any suggestions would be welcome! Bitmap's working on some highpoly stuff already, as well, so hopefully we'll have some of that to show off soon enough.
He's considering whether he wants to rock with the cool kids or do his own thing, but in the event he wants to go it alone, I'm just posting this to see if anyone likes the concepts and wants to join Razorbladder and me.
edited for constructiveness:
I like the painterly quality of your concept, but at the moment it's bit hard to tell what's going on. Too much seperate somewhat unrelated parts that leave me confused about what's supposed to be happening. I guess making the things relate to each other more that are supposed to and increase the contrast with parts that are supposed to be different, conceptually and visually, it would make this stronger.
I know you said you weren't really a total fan of the composition yet, but I think it's overall a bit too static. Most of the elements are uncomfortably close or similarly distanced, and come off a bit methodical rather than natural. The Greentooth ship in particular seems a bit too small in this new iteration and pretty uninteresting with its orientation to the viewpoint.
A ship graveyard oughtta be a sweet idea
Goody!
Next step, TENTACLE RAPE!
I still may be able to smooth out the rear section and polymodel around it.
UPDATE: Alright, I got over my blunder and have started polymodelling the rear section of the ship, it's still WIP.
FINALLY! Got the low-poly done... Now I need to start on texturing it
