Yeah, its not really a specific concept, but it suits the scale of what I want to do. Can we not change ideas/concepts around, or is it a permanent thing?

Scrapped the huge skeletons, although some the rock face is going to be catacomb like. Going to go with urotsukidoji type cable/tentacle theme that is basically raping the earth/planet. No details going in yet, hopefully its going to go in Unreal.
Started work on a strange looking rock facade/area. Found a new word 'striations', so thats a bonus! The catacomb idea will be next after I finish the rock face. The platform bit, will be where the valley is viewed from, going to use about 2048 texture space for the whole terrain.
So I've baked out the Normal maps and AO maps for the terrain, but the wire is a bit dodgy since I'm using 3ds max optimise and weld vertices by hand, which took ages. I'm using the AO on the diffuse to add some subtle shadow. Whilst I'm thinking about it, I'll start work on the bone elements. The terrain might have to get redone.

I've blocked out where the bits and pieces are supposed to be roughly. Quite a lot of the high poly stuff is done, will hopefully have it on show by the end of the week. The final squeeze is seemingly quite hard.
I've been messing around with some lights and ish, hopefully it won't look like a giant toy when I'm finished. Its going to be a challenge for me to get the textures and overall look right. Going to bake the colours, specular and maybe bump into maps. Should have it locked down by the weekend allowing a week or so to tweek everything.
i have to say i LOVEd the giant skulls and bones and stuff. but i cant get feeling you have lost some of the coolness now. im not sure what it is. but the green that everything has on it really kill sit for me atm
Hi Nistrum, yeah maybe I have gone OTT with the green stuff. That was the plan from the start so maybe it wasn't a good choice on my part. Could it be the lighting as well? Its harder to notice the skulls and bones because of that.....
