I'm trying to view my normal map in the viewport. I enabled all the settings in the "Configure Driver" tab and set up my material correctly. It seems the only thing I'm missing is the "DX display of standard material" option in the material editor.
I can't for the life of me figure out what could be wrong. I did search around for quite a bit with no luck. I'm an experienced 3D artist but still am relatively new to studio max. I'm sure this is one of those things were I passed over something small.

But that's a pretty crappy shader, the better way of doing this is to use a 3rd-party shader.
