UMM HELP??!
I noticed when i use Hammersley or Max 2.5 it gives me worse jaggies..????


Does anyone know what is going on with my normals?I am using max 2009. i didnt have issues previously and now this pops up sometimes I can't get the jaggies to go away but i dont know what it is.. Is there a setting somewhere I am missing? I have been doing my normals for awhile and never encountered this issue. All and any help is appreciated, thanks...

increase the padding and use max 2.5 star if you want supersampling, but i wouldnt recomend it, antialising with catmull rom works fine for me

I have increased the padding and turned on and off super sampling and still get crap results.. Any other advice??

Max's supersampling doesn't work nicely with padding, that's what those streaks are from. You really only need supersampling if you have overlapping meshes within the UV borders, or if you have holes in the mesh, basically if you have any mesh edges that need antialiasing against the background.
