All my music, movies, and media is on network storage, and I access it via a mapped drive, yet if I go into iTunes, it wont let me browse that mapped drive to add my music to the library. Is there some way to get this to work?
Apparently I'd forgotten to log back into the mapped network drive after rebooting (because of the iTunes install, no less). Appears to be working now.
Go ahead and add any commentary you may have regarding iTunes or the iPod touch if you like. Customization, editting, etc.
How about commentary on the things Apple sees fit to bundle with and try to sneak onto your system like Quicktime and Safari?
God damn it if they update the apple updater just to reset my "ignore Safari updates" preferences one more time, I swear someone is getting a brick thru the window with my ipod strapped to it... Respect my answer the first 7 times I said no.
Another downside to the apple updater being updated is that it forces Mozilla to release some mundane update so they can wrestle your default browser back from Apple.
At least the firefox updates are less annoying and are happy to wait until the next time you launch it. Apple updates just hold the software hostage and make you check one last time to really make sure the update you got was the most recent. Thanks... just launch the fuckin software already...
Not to mention AppleMobileDeviceHelper.exe and AppleMobileDeviceService.exe that's a bitch getting rid of. Oh, and there's also iPodService.exe that keeps popping back up every time I kill it.
I like you guys. Just let it all out!
Also, what about the quicktime and adobe schedulers? Lovely chaps as well, no? Always come back, despite you telling them to fuck right off. Really makes you feel in charge of your system.
