I figured it was a scam since they did not put the body up for examination. Seems to me, if they had a real one, they could convince a lot of people really quick by letting the media and some scientists poke at it. Oh well, got their 15 minutes of fame by renting a costume.
It was reported found 3 days ago, if it was real it would have been confirmed by now. It doesn't take 3 days to get a body to an expert, or an expert to a body. The only reason it hasn't been "officially" confirmed or denied is because they haven't showed it to anyone... which stinks of hoax.
I find it interesting that one of the guys that found the "body" is a police officer. If it is, in fact, a hoax (hint: it is) I would think that police departments would look very unfavorably upon these types of shenanigans orchestrated by one of their officers.
