mac-10 weapon WIP

ok havent modeled a gun of any sort in nearly 2 yrs or more,
just trying to get back into weapon modeling,
let me know what you think so far,

What's the purpose of all those edge loops in the handle?

ok removed the edge loops,
i shouldnt havent left them on there,thanks for reminding me to remove them,
my total tri count is up to 3408 right now,
wonder if i should normal map some stuff if i could,

aside from a very uninspiring model,
I agree on the to much slices

they could be easily reduce,

just select the loops alt+l (with shortcut override enabled) and then ctrl+backspace to remove them without killing the faces.

edit: snap seems I have been to slow

how could i make this model more inspiring you think,im open for ideas,Thanks

I bet you have seen that excact same model more than 20+ times in some 3d forum or computer game- I couldn´t think of something more boring as something like that to model in my freetime.
and just to proove that thousand of others did the same already:

so my suggestion would be to make something that simply stands out,- something that is fresh, unusual or perhaps new. Dont get me wrong the basic shape is not wrong just the way like this is just booring. So perhaps some unqiue add ons or modifycations- a interesting paint job or a futuristic version of what you have.

i could think about a add one or giving a certain feel,
maybe a steam punk feel just as example,
im working on updating my portfolio website and wanted to add a nice weapon or 2 on it,
