Eden: An ambitious story-driven experience
It was called the golden age of civilization; a technological evolution thrusting mankind forward into what was believed to be humanities next step in evolution. With technology advancing at an astonishing rate, what were once perceived limits of the human body, were now being shattered. It was no longer about what we could do, but what we could become.
However, while our bodies may have been ready, our minds were not. Ambition became obsession, desire turned to greed, and what was a period of stability and unity slowly fell into chaos.
Welcome to Eden: A new world, a new society, a new life...a new start.
Presented entirely in first person, Eden is an action adventure game featuring open-ended gameplay, exploration, tactical combat and puzzle solving. With a compelling and dynamic storyline, you will be rewarded for your choice of actions, as you experience this unique journey through the world of Eden.
Will Eden relive the past, once again falling into darkness, or had it ever truly gone to begin with?
Project details: We're developing a total conversion mod for UE3, and one of our goals is to apply for the
Make Something Unreal Contest. We already have an established team working, having planned the full development cycle and already starting development. We still have 12 months to finish the game and polish it up for the contest, as we'll be entering the Phase 4 on August 31, 2009.
Talent needed: We are currently looking for artists and modelers from all fields. Modelers, concept artists and texture artists are our main priorities.
Compensation: This is an unpaid project, so you shouldn't be expecting any payment right away. If we manage to win the categories our game is applying for, we'll be splitting profits between our members and hiring legal assistance to make sure everyone's interests are satisfied.
About our team: Most of our team has been together for a few months now, having worked on different teams and projects before. We currently have 15 members, most of them versatile and experienced in areas such as programming, modeling, visual arts, design, sound effects, writing, management and music.
We believe we have an interesting project on our hands, that is a great opportunity to gain more experience and further build your portfolio. You can check our progress
here, where we'll be releasing regular updates with more information and media.
We're looking for dedicated and highly organized individuals. If you're interested in our project or just want to know more, please send your applications to
codenamedev@gmail.com with a link to your portfolio and any questions you might have. We'll be able to provide you with some in-depth information upon request.
