So many people were laid off at the studio, the tipster says, that those who weren't received a phone call Sunday night telling them to stay home. Everyone else who showed up were "processed and laid off."

Damn, thats rough.... Goes to show really. Fancy graphics dont make a good game. So now that they toss tons and tons of money at you for pretty stuff. It wont sell b/c its still unfun to play, which is the basis of the entire industry....fun.

Hope those guys land on there feet! And i feel REALLY bad for the students graduating soon. There shot at a job just got alot smaller.

NCSoft is also going to have some layoffs soon, or so the word goes, and a couple other Austin studios. Life in Austin for game developers is tough right now.
