i guess what i was trying to say was that if it was a swing-out cylinder or not. did a little research and the colt navy were ball and cap revolvers, not the single action armys. the colt SAA were cartridge loading cylinders. im just to used to the other kind, cuz of the references i have are conversions from the old ball and cap revolvers.
looks great tho, good thread
okay here are all the layouts for the buzz saw. Took me a little longer due to the awesome diverge workshop. Also, thanks to all for taking a look at my thread I really appreciate any critiques given.
As far as killing mirroring problems all i do is take half of my LP where I will be doing a mirror after it is unwrapped and set the w to 1 in the edit uvw window. Then set the uv's that have a W of 1 out of the square. After that you generate your NM. Once that is done all you need to do is delete the side of the object with the w set to 1 and copy the remaining side then weld back together.
Great job on all your models Lear, your texturing is awsome aswell!
Just to be picky, regarding the warhammer drum raft you made awhile back, The image was hard to see but I guess you made those cracks in the highpoly, and you seemed to get it down pretty good, a suggestion is that you could also do them with a heightmap or sculpt them in zbrush, its usually faster and gives you a cleaner result.
Great work! You're getting some seriouse skill Keep going!
Fantastic work, tons of details, outstanding progress! I like cars the most (even they all have same tires ). Great job, keep it up. And damn you, that reminded me that I still need to check RAGE out
yeah great work, loved rage and even remember stopping to look at these models in game. Would be good to see workflow on something like that van, looks like sliced up zbrush shapes rather than traditional subd?
