Hellish Hellway Thing

Hi everyone,


This is a personal project I've recently started, a hellish doorway/closet-space type area, inspired by some of the assets in the Hell level in Doom 3.

Here is the base mesh I've created in Max, I'm going to sculpt the rest in Mudbox, I really have been wanting to get more Mudbox practice lately.

Comments/suggestions/critiques appreciated.

    I realize there's more basic detail in the mini skulls but ti seems odd to me that there is so much more there than the rest of the doorway. If you're taking it into mudbox I would uv map this, save it out and then in a separate file increase the tessellation in the sides to match the density of the skulls. Use the higher mesh as a starting point in Mudbox.

    Otherwise when you go to detail this you'll be able to get quite a bit of detail in the skulls but as you go into the other areas it will get all stretchy and pixelated.
