Ok just to let ever one know im not a complete newb LOL i just wanted to ask people if they liked the layout of my website not the content on it right now. lol . big difference. anyway to prove im not as big of a newb as i feel like now becsaue i only have a barrel on my site, here is a current project im working on.



Ok so i finally got around to making a website, now its nothing special right now, and all i really did was upload a model of a barrel i did a little while ago for an advanced level class i have. so have a look and tell me if anything should be changed. thanks !

I really wouldn't consider a barrel advanced level. O_o You'll need alot more in there to get a job but good start now get moving on the modeling and as many will tell ya you'll probably not want to put anything you did in school in your portfolio as you're still learning and making mistakes on those pieces.

If you're going to showcase it like that you might as well bump up the lightmaps in UE3 to make it look a little better.

However I wouldn't worry about the showcasing yet though.. you need a lot more content. Check out other portfolios and make sure you're at least as good as them.. or.. better rather.

just a barel = fail

imo. a barel shouldn´t be considerd as portfolio piece - it might be a test subject for a absolute beginner - but nothing to be proud of or showcase - just my 2 cents

yeah who wants to see a barrel anyway? do something unique like a wooden box.

cut it down to 450 tris and you might have a case there.

LULZ all i wanted was a critque on the website, FAIL on my part, lol i added the barrel in two secs just so to ask you guys if the way i had the three pictures next to each other was working and the over all flow and what not. MY BAD! more art to come for sure ! lol

if you say website - at least I expect also crits on the content because after all that´s what a website is about blending content with navigation.
