Can I put this in my resume

So at my current studio I was hired as an artist but have been moving toward a design position, getting to do more design on each project. We're working on a tech demo (short run through of an original IP) in which I've gotten the chance to do a lot of design, scripting, and prototyping.
Now the studio I'm with is great. Good people and potentially some fun projects coming down the pipeline. But the studio is notoriously bad at handling their finances, and I'm tired of waiting for the word each month from the boss if our paychecks are going to be in on time. Layoffs between projects have happened in the past (luckily not since I've started working there). So i'm considering looking around for a full design position (i'm still primarily an artist so it gets in the way of designing). Can I put what I did for the tech demo on my resume? I need all the experience I can get on my resume, and I've done a lot for the demo so it would beef it up considerably. I know the obvious answer is to ask the boss, but until I see what kind of response my resume gets from potential employers, I don't want to let on that I'm looking around (It's a small studio). Thanks for any advice you can offer!

Just on the part of the resume where you list your responsibilities at a specific studio, add in all that stuff you wanted to add in. I dont see why you'd need to ask your boss...

If you did it, you can include it on your resume. You don't need to ask permission.

This should boil down to your employment contract. Does it state that work you've done for the studio are property of the company? If yes, I would mention it, but not include it in the resume.

well since your asking for free advice, I would have a chat with your boss about your concerns about the financial situation, schedule a meeting after a solid week of kicking a and taking names.

Thanks for the replies all. I guess I'll put it in, which is what I was planning on doing, i just wanted to make sure I wasn't overlooking anything legally or ethically about putting stuff in my resume that I may not be able to physically show at an interview or whatnot.
About talking to my boss about the financial situation, I don't think it would accomplish too much. They say they have a plan, but i want to start raising a family in the not too distant future, and I'd like to find a place where the stability of the company isn't sitting on such a razors edge. Obviously there is no guarantee of that anywhere, but I'd like to find a place that I can be relatively confident I'll get paid regularly.
