Thread Deletion: explanation

Howdy folks...
Some of you have noticed that a recent thread about art theft has gone missing here and over on Concept Art. Let me assure you that we are not condoning the activities of the person these threads spoke of. I'm pretty sure that the CA guys aren't either.
A very brief explaination is that the art theft was discovered and outted internally to whatever studio this person had a job. I don't have any idea where or who, so don't ask. The thief has lost their job over this. An anonymous person at the studio felt that he/she should inform the polycount and CA communities and posted threads to that effect. The bosses at that company are extremely worried that they are being opened to some sort of liability, [this is my guess I haven't spoken to them directly], and they are wanting the place scrubbed clean of any of their employees involvement. As I don't want our friends to lose their own jobs over a few moments of bad judgment, we've removed the original post. That's the full story.
If you guys want to continue to discuss the merits of art theft in this case or in any others, you are of course free and welcome to do so. We just needed to not do it in that post anymore.

Of course one can, but I doubt one can keep said job for long.
Or he can just "borrow" someone's web template and edit some of the web content...I've seen those happen.

What an interesting world. A place where the ones that point out the insanity must fear repercussion.
It's nice to see a bit of justice and perhaps now that job is open for a recent graduate and/or someone that really cares about what they do.

Anyway. This is really a shame. I don't know how much of this portfolio is from other people, but imagine some of them were trying to get a job, while he scored with their work. Disgusting.
