that's amazing! especially since it supplies its own power and that of neighboring buildings. at first i thought: what a waste of energy just to have a nice and everchanging view, but then i read a little more about it. very cool! i'd love to see that come true!

The first thing that strikes me as odd is how undynamic and stale the website is. I'm always odded out when I come across the homepage for some multi-million dollar project that couldn't afford a graphic design worth shit.

This sounds cool, especially the self-powered aspect and of course the first one will be in Dubai! I hope they spend a lot of time stress-testing this type of building, really seems like this type of building would have to be constantly maintained in order for sections not to tear off from the stresses of being in constant movement.

I've seen this before, and thought it was an interesting partial solution to our energy crises. Dubai is amazing for architecture, but all the money that can be bought/bartered/stolen to create artistic buildings for the rich is a bit over the top.

I have the pleasure of knowing an architect that is purposing a 35 building mass in Dubai that will basically form 1 giant skyscraper. A city unto itself that generates and cleans it's own energy and waste. Really cool to see an architect put money, environmental issues, and a countries economic growth on the same level of importance. Revolutionary if you ask me.
