What's the workflow for dealing with tiling patterns, such as a brick wall, with Mudbox? Since it doesn't haven't the option that ZBrush has to help with tiling
I assume you should be able to do this with symmetry? Sadly you can't activate symmetry in 2 axis at the same time I believe so you gotta be careful at the corners.
I did a few tiling normal map using mudbox in the past, but it was the hardcore way and it would obviously be way better with a proper tool:
Sculpt on a plane, export your displace in hdr, offset it in photoshop, displace a new plane, sculpt the missing parts.
i've simply guesstimated where i think detail needs to go to tile, and then offset and clone stamp the normals in ps, works as well as clone stamping anything else to make it tile
