I've always wanted to show something off and I just remembered we had this project at school involving building a Second Life environment earlier this spring. Basically we were supposed to create a "school" where you could hold lectures and things.. or rather.. do as much as we could in five weeks.

I only have a few images I found on the school's wiki that we uploaded back then.

So ya.. I thought it'd be refreshing.

A few words before the images. I think Second Life is very primitive but even with primitive stuff you can do a lot. The most amazing thing was to be able to build a "world" with others building it at the same time. Also why I'd really like to work with one of those fancy idsoftware engines at some point in the future.

For anyone that doesn't know. Second life doesn't allow you to upload meshes so you have to do with primitives like boxes, cylinders and spheres.

Here's the caf

Sounds like a fun learning experience. If you get a chance to grab Max PLE or maya PLE, try them out. It might be hard at first, but soon you'll see lots of great artwork flowing from your fingertips. Cheers mate, and I hope you decide to continue your education.

Oh, I've tried both Maya, Max, Blender as well as Modo :)

The quality of my other stuff doesn't compare to the stuff in this forum though. So I was just hoping to show something different instead of something amazing.

But yea.. I know the default 3d packages.. my sense of form and design is just very shabby.. and Im trying to redeem it by trying my hand at 2D art... which is going rather slow atm :(
