Really mesmerizing, and the song is just awesome... In Rainbows is probably my favourite Radiohead albums next to The Bends.

Ah yes, Flight404. He's pretty much the king of Processing. He does some very inspiring work.

For those of you who aren't familliar with his work, it's all procedural (in that it's rendered in real-time via code. The music hits are triggered manually, though) as opposed to a pre-rendered After Effects sequence.

It's written in Processing, a language based on java which is made for very quick experimentation and prototyping of graphical applications.

Slum: are you sure the music 'hits' are programmed? I think they're just responding to the audio, but I could be wrong. He's got some nice stuff, although all too often it doesn't amount to much more than a neat visualisation. If only he'd have different scenes or whatever, it could make me actually sit through one of these from beginning to end.

Yeah, they are manually sequenced. He does that with most of his music pieces. He has a few blog posts about how it took him hours and hours to manually sequence every hit.

I do agree with Per, I'm afraid. I think this is all nice enough, but there's no substance to it. It's just one bit stretches out to the length of a song. I was subscribed to this guys' blog for a bit, but ultimately I was pretty bored with it all. I liked Solar, but it's the same story, really. One cool bit over and over again doesn't make for a cool video, no matter how much work went into it.

Per128, as a demoscene enthusiast I totally agree with you. If you hadn't written that I probably would right now. This just looks boring and procedural with no real input from the guy who uploaded it, I find it boring.

I have to agree with _Gr9yFox_ that as cool as it looked, it was just the same cool effect dragged over 5 odd minutes. Definitely would be ace as a visualization in a media player.
