I love it too! The art style is fun and the humor is pretty great. I also love Chowder (both shows seem to use stop motion animation every now and then).
I was almost certain it was done by the same people who did that pitch for the show "Korgoth of Barbaria" for AS, which sadly never got picked up. But it seems like they have no connections.
It's funny, after seeing the Avatar discussion going on, I thought about starting a thread regarding Flapjack and Chowder, you know "kids" shows you enjoy.
Love the dolphin noise worked in there. I wonder if it's the same guy putting that in all kinds of these shows like clone high. Sounds identical. Glad to see someone else watches this.
This reminds me of the best bits of Spongebob Squarepants, which is pretty much a ringing endorsement from me. I should see if this airs in England, I'd like to see a full episode.
Glad to see other people are catching wind of Flapjack. I got to check out a couple weeks of episodes during my vacation. Despite being a "children's" show, Flapjack puts out quite a few laughs even for the older crowd. I love all the random faces Flapjack makes and the fact that half the time he talks it sounds like hes at the height of excitement.
I highly recommend this show, for its humor, and quality animation and style. I think they have a bunch of the episodes of it On-Demand on Comcast.
If you don't like Flapjack... why so serious? :P It's just hilarious, one of the only shows ever that I plan on buying the season DVDs when they're released.
I went to a Flapjack and Chowder panel that Cartoon Network hosted at comic con. The creator of Flapjack(Thurop Van Orman) does Flapjack's voice and it's not that far off from his normal speaking voice. He's this guy with a big burly beard and this cute little voice comes out of him..hillarious. He sang some of the little random songs between questions. It was mentioned that both shows are going to be doing hour long specials in the near future.
I also found out that John DiMaggio(who also does the voice of Bender from Futurama and TONS of others)does Schnitzel's voice on Chowder. Got some sweet Chowder and Flapjack zipper pulls and big magnets for swag, definitely a highlight of the con.

I have never seen this in the UK yet so I guess we're behind a bit on this and Chowder. Gotta go and hunt out some DVDs of this stuff to tide me over.

Chowder is alright, a bit on the surreal side.. nothing wrong with that.
Just because something is safe for kids, doesn't mean it is only for them.
I watch a lot of "kid" shows.
